Other Hotels We Recommend: Belmond Hotel MonasterioCusco (5-Star)

Right beside the lively Cusco central square is Belmond Hotel Monasterio, a former monastery and national monument dating from 1592. This delightful retreat combines centuries-old charm with luxury hotel service, inspired restaurants and boutique rooms and suites—all clustered around a tranquil central courtyard. The ideal hotel from which to discover the delights of Cusco, its doors open to a vibrant scene of old and modern architecture, markets, galleries and restaurants serving ‘new Andean’ cuisine.

Hotel Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel & Wellness Centre, Sacred Valley (5-Star)

“Aranwa” in Quechua means “legend”, a word that captures the history and myth, the charm and mystery, the beauty of nature and the sophistication of modernity. All of which can be experienced in a unique manner in Aranwa Hotels, Resorts and Spas. Since opening in 2008, Aranwa has grown and now offers five destinations within Peru: Cusco, Sacred Valley, Colca, Paracas and Vichayito. Aranwa Sacred Valley Hotel & Wellness is built on the banks of the Vilcanota River, on the lands of an old colonial hacienda of the 17th century, just half an hour from the city of Cusco, and from the train station in Ollantaytambo, en route to Machu Picchu. The hotel rooms are decorated in Colonial, Modern and Minimalist-styles.

Camping

dining tentFor treks that involve camping, we provide brand-name, 3-season tents with ample vestibules. Single clients receive 2-person tents and couples receive 4-person tents.

We eat most of our meals at a table with chairs in spacious dining tents (though sometimes it is even nicer to be outside enjoying the glorious views!).

We also provide a private toilet tent at lunch stops and overnights, fitted with a chemical toilet and toilet paper.

Our experienced guides carry, set up and take down all the equipment.
